"One of the true joys of reviewing films on the indie film circuit is the ability to discover and follow truly committed indie directors like Edgar Muniz, whose distinct voice and visual style unquestionably deserves a wider audience"
Richard Propes, The Independent Critic
"Muniz enjoys exploring relationships and that takes time, time that's rewarded in the end. The acting here is very good, the story is great and, overall, you'll find yourself wondering (along with these guys) what the hell is wrong with them."
Brian Morton, Rogue Cinema
"The two main music choices are curiously at one with the frequently funny, more often thoughtful scenes. Wee bits of Beethoven’s “Ode to Joy” marvellously underscore the lack of it; frequent helpings of Pachebel’s Canon remind musical viewers that its fixed, never-ending bass line can be forever “topped” with all manner of variations."

The only time these men seem comfortable being their childish and crass selves is when they're alone with each other. Outside of their alpha-male bubble of drinking and boasting, they each struggle with maintaining healthy functional relationships. Manny's five year relationship has become sexually frustrating and stagnant, so he develops an interest in porn and the habit of instigating arguments with his girlfriend. Ray's seemingly content and playful relationship begins to reveal the double standards in their interactions. His insecurities motivate him to reconsider his lifestyle. He begins working out and thinking more about himself. Tess, on the other hand, enjoys the company of a few different women. He is involved with a young student, a beautiful blond, and an Internet prospect. It's when he travels to meet the online girl that he has time to reflect and think about what he once assumed was a 'refusal' to settle down.
Manny, Tess and Ray are men in their 30's, and while their loyalty as friends and colleagues is strong, it's in their relationships that these men reveal their troubles and insecurities. Although they might view themselves as confident and intelligent men, their crass behavior and irreverent attitudes toward life and love reveal their much deeper fears of commitment and emasculation.
